April Quilt UFO Challenge

April Quilt UFO Challenge

Hi Reader Can you believe it is the 1st of April! This is my birthday month so I may have something special happening in the middle of the month for it. I still love blogging although I know so many people have stopped. My first quilting blog post was on Blogspot in 201 and one of my first quilt tutorials was Worldly Lil Twister in 2011. Does this make me a internet dinosaur? LOL Be sure and check out my April UFO Challenge and I'll also have the April Color Challenge up this afternoon. I...

Just another HST quilt tutorial

Hi Reader The sun is shining but it is a little chilly outside today. When I sit here at my desk I spend more time watching the squirrels and birds than I do working. I just finished writing a new blog post about another "old" quilt top I finally quilted it. I have no idea if I have ever shared photos of it in the past. Applique Patchwork Bunny and more

Hi Reader I think Spring is here for good and I've been spending some time outside doing yard work and it feels so good to be outside. I also uncovered the patio furniture so Rusty and I can sit and watch the birds. He seems to prefer to stay in the house most of the time which surprises me. Happening in my Studio #6 I thought I would share a few quilt projects that would be perfect for Easter and wouldn't take too long to make. I have been blogging for a very long time, one quilt project is...

Here is Honey Drift, the quilt made with my #5 quilt blocks. There is also a cute photo of Rusty on it. Honey Drift Quilt I also...

Quilt studio or Cardmaking studio?

Quilt Studio or Cardmaking Studio??

Hi Reader Good morning from Iowa, we had a thunder storm roll in last night and got some much needed rain. When I took Rusty out this morning, it smells like spring. There are puddles everywhere and the grass is turning green. Could spring actually be here? I have cleared the fabric off of my cutting table and it now my quilt studio looks like a cardmaking studio. I'll be in classes with Taylored Expressions all day and then tonight my daughter and grandkids will be here to make cards....

Twizzle Half Square Triangle Quilt

Hi Reader Remember all the little peeks at my next quilt? Well it is finished! I think you will like it. Yesterday we did our road trip to Nolting in Hiawatha, IA to get my longarm worked on. Builder Bob kept saying I should buy a new longarm and I kept saying nope. Guess what happened? I ordered a new 24" Diamond longarm! It will take about 2 months for them to build it so they sent my old longarm home with me so I'll have something to use. There has been an important part of the machine...
